The city of Rotterdam’s public sculpture collection started in 1622 with the Erasmus sculpture. Today it consists of hundreds of artworks. The collection consists of high-quality artworks that are in wonderful condition. This is mainly due to two CBK Rotterdam programmes: BKOR (Beeldende Kunst & Openbare Ruimte / Visual Art & Public Space) and SIR (Sculpture International Rotterdam). Together they are in charge of Rotterdam’s sculpture collection and the accompanying knowledge and documentation centre.
