Nudus
Nudus is a multidisciplinary studio of ca. 35 architects, urban designers and makers, focusing on healthy buildings, low-impact construction and long-term value. We prioritise sustainable and circular materials and design solutions that respond to climate, energy and social challenges in an integrated way.
As a team, we draw inspiration from nature, not as an image, but as a system: adaptable, efficient and balanced. This translates into architecture that is open, resilient and supportive of everyday life. We design buildings and places that are inclusive and accessible, where different people can meet, work, learn and live together.
Our broad portfolio spans many scales and typologies, and includes complex projects for major public and private clients. These ambitions are not theoretical: many of our projects are built or currently under construction, demonstrating that sustainable and circular design can be realised at scale.
Current projects include the large-scale transformations of the Palace of Justice in the Hague and the Citrusveiling in Rotterdam, the hybrid buildings EDGE Coolsingel in Rotterdam, Matrix Innovation Center in Amsterdam and the new Port of Rotterdam building, as well as CLDR in Groningen, the biggest wooden laboratory building of the Netherlands, and the timber high-rise Patchwork Sluisbuurt in Amsterdam. On a larger scale, Nudus is responsible for BIC cluster 2 in Eindhoven; the „Factory of the Future“ with 225.000 m² GFA, the Bio(tech) Diversity Campus in Delft, and the transformation of RAI Amsterdam, in collaboration with MVRDV.
