As a specialist in redevelopment and transformation of the existing built environment, WDJA has built up an  exceptional portfolio over a period of more than twenty years. WDJA believes in the power of existing buildings: transformation of buildings contributes to a sustainable and diverse living environment, rich in historical and contemporary architecture. Our dream is to renew the meaning for the client & for society of abandoned characteristic buildings. With a view to the future, a new layer, through interventions and new construction where needed, gives new life to the existing in a sustainable form. In our transformations, we try to limit the demolition and disposal of existing materials. However, we do not hesitate to propose major interventions, where this increases the social and aesthetic value of the building. In designing new additions we focus on the use of sustainable materials, carbon-neutral building and circular construction methods. With our team of young and enthusiastic designers we are committed to this mission, executing it from our office in the characteristic Van Nelle factory.
