Intervention

Pergola

by Studio Inscape

The intervention ‘Pergola’ by Studio Inscape will be on display in the Rose Garden throughout the month of June. A garden shed that also serves as a visitor center for the Rotterdam Architecture Month.

You can walk straight through this intervention and discover everything about the soil, plants and animals in the park. With a view of the Rose Garden, you will discover in the Pergola what the gardens mean to the ecologist, the bat, and the poplar. Of course, the rose has not been forgotten. Each perspective on the garden presents a different story, which is illustrated in the Pergola. How can space be provided for the various – existing and future – users? Together with the visitors, the designers want to answer the question: How do we maintain and cultivate the urban gardens of today and tomorrow?
