The Bridge
by DaF-architects
Follow the route through the Museumpark via the Henket pavilion over a bridge designed by DaF-architects that creates a temporary connection between the Museum Garden and the Rose Garden.
In 1960, a pedestrian bridge was built on the occasion of the Floriade, connecting the museum garden with the poplar avenue. Now, almost 65 years later, DaF-architects are designing a bridge at this location – ‘Overbrug’ – that recalls the rich history of bridges in the park.
About DaF-architects
DaF-architects designs with love for the existing, knowledge of the possible and in consultation with the environment. Within the historical, social and ecological context, the designers look for elements of change and continuity. With this investigative approach, DaF-architects have a broad field of work; of building, renovating and imagining. In Rotterdam they design, among other things, the bridges of Park Zestienhoven, the Schieveen experience farm, the Gouverneblok and the Heilige Boontjes building on Eendrachtsplein.
