HA-HA Design and Development is a Dutch architecture firm specializing in the design and development of innovative housing solutions, adaptive and sustainable reuse and renovation of historic landmark buildings. Founded in Rotterdam in 2018, HA-HA believes that architecture, landscape, and urbanism are equally integral to a successful design proposal; the client and contractor are active collaborators; and that development, finance, and feasibility are part of the creative process.

HA-HA is both an expression of delight and an unexpected, yet seamless, element of the landscape, often found in English gardens. HA-HA’s design sensibility is playful, practical, and harmonious – but never obvious or predictable.
