Programme outside Rotterdam
Outside Rotterdam there is also plenty to do around architecture and the future of the city. Therefore we highlight some programmes you can visit during Rotterdam Architecture Month in other places in the Netherlands.
June 14 & 16: Day of Architecture in Eindhoven
During the national Day of Architecture in Eindhoven, Architecture Center Eindhoven organizes various activities.
Visit various buildings around the station on Friday afternoon, June 14 or Sunday morning, June 16 and see Eindhoven from a high altitude. On Friday afternoon there will be lectures about the urban changes in the area, provided by Ronald Rijnen (municipality of Eindhoven) and René Erven (Architecture Center Eindhoven), among others.
Please note these programmes are in Dutch.
June 15: Day of Architecture in Amersfoort
During the national Day of Architecture in Amersfoort, FASadE will highlight the theme ‘Making Space’ with a visit to two special monastery complexes. The nuns have made room here for new uses for old buildings. The estate Mgr. Blom and the monastery complex Onze Lieve Vrouw ter Eem are both monumental places where a new future is being worked on with great ambition and zeal. In between there will be lunch in Buitenhuis Blom, provided by the COA (Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers), which is located next to the monastery Mgr. Blom is located.

June 15: Day of Architecture in Breda

June 12 - 15: Arnhem Architecture Film Festival & Architecture Day
The Arnhem Architecture Film Festival is from June 12 to 15. The Arnhem Architecture Day Foundation will discuss the themes surrounding ‘Making Space’ with speakers and interesting films.
On Saturday June 15 there will be guided tours given by ‘experts’ in the use of public space, where we literally look at the public domain through other people’s eyes. For example, guided tours will be given by (former) homeless people and skaters.
