aHOUSEforHOME
Pop-Up Exhibition
On June 8, you are invited to come and see the exhibition and final presentations by students of the architecture lab aHOUSEforHOME, hosted by Nieuwe Instituut.
aHOUSEforHOME is an architecture and urbanism lab for young Ukrainians, who find themselves far from home. During three months, Ukrainian teenagers between 12 and 17 years old studied architecture and urban design, explored cities, and reflected on post-war reconstruction and future urban development. Supported by Ukrainian tutors and the Netherlands-based designers, students developed their own projects in response to the question: ‘How do we see the cities of the future?’
This event celebrates the result of two courses that took place at Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam and KADE40 in Vlaardingen. During the presentations, the tutors will reflect on their teaching experience, and students will share their work and impressions.
The exhibition can be visited on June 8, 2024, between 15:00-17:00.
