Building succesful housing cooperatives in the Netherlands
Expertmeeting cooperative conditions
This event takes place in Dutch. Visit the Dutch version of this page by switching the language in the upper right corner.
On January 20, the book ‘Operatie Wooncoöperatie, uit de wooncrisis door gemeenschappelijke bezit‘ was launched in the Keilepand, where Minister of Housing Hugo de Jonge also received the book. On that occasion he called public housing ‘building communities’, and endorsed the importance of housing cooperatives as one of the ways out of the current housing crisis. On October 6th, the Keilepand hosts the international symposium ‘Cooperative Conditions, learning from Zurich, Munich and Vienna’.
A ‘working table’ will be set up on June 2nd, between the two events. A moment to take stock with the Dutch pioneers and to discuss opportunities and bottlenecks for ooperative construction processes. What do we want to learn from the experts in Zurich, Munich and Vienna? And what do we want to pass on to our own city administrators, corporations, financiers and our Minister of Housing?
