Architecture office BureauVanEig is located in De Fabriek van Delfshaven along the Schie. The old factory building is a former dry cleaners that was converted into offices by Mei Architecten in 2012. The building itself is worth a visit, with a beautiful atrium spanning four floors inside.

BureauVanEig works on all kinds of projects in special landscapes and in the city. In Rotterdam the office has designed the nature-inclusive entrances to the Hofbogenpark, which will be realised in 2024. Another Rotterdam project is the renovation of five shops on the Lijnbaan. This project was nominated for the Rotterdam architecture prize and received an honourable mention for BNA Beste Gebouw van het Jaar.

There is a lot to see in the office – such as beautiful models, facade reliefs, booklets and the current projects – and you can have a chat with Marjolein and her colleagues. There is also an option to buy a signed version of the book ‘Het Detail’ that Marjolein released in 2021.
