Celebrate! 10 years Van Nellefabriek UNESCO World Heritage

Heritage presentation in the porter's lodge + thematic tour

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the porter’s lodge on the Van Nelle site will be officially opened by councilor Said Kasmi. The Chabot Museum manages this small-scale visitor facility as a starting point for all guided tours, together with UrbanGuides.

This weekend of June 15 and 16, visit the heritage presentation in the porter’s lodge on the Van Nelle grounds and take a short (thematic) tour of the Van Nelle factory on the occasion of 10 years of Van Nelle UNESCO World Heritage. Various themed tours will be organised, including a tour of Mien Ruys’ garden design by Anne Mieke Backer. Next to the tours there will be a lecture by Prof. Wessel de Jonge in ‘De Branderij’ about the redevelopment of the factory.

Sunday, June 16, 2024, is Family Day, with themed tours and walk-in workshops for parents and children.
Location: meet at the porter’s lodge, Van Nelleweg 1, start: 12 noon, guided tours every hour and half hour.

Reserve a ticket for one of the special (family) tours in the context of 10 years of UNESCO World Heritage on Saturday, June 15 or Sunday June 16.

This weekend, as part of Rotterdam Architecture Month, a free shuttle bus will run from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM between Chabot Museum/Museum Park and the porter’s lodge at Van Nelle.
