Exhibition
Creating space sustainably

The main exhibition of the Rotterdam Architecture Month focuses on sustainability. Together with the Climate Academy Rotterdam, 27 projects have been selected that show how the city can become greener, more attractive and more climate-proof.
Architects, landscape designers, residents and initiators show examples of timber construction, circular materials, floating residential areas and new forms of living together. The exhibition shows that sustainability is not a distant dream, but a movement that is already taking shape here and now. Affordable, resilient, healthy and feasible – for everyone.
The exhibition highlights five urgent themes: Towards a sustainable building culture, Everyday sustainability, Area development of the future, How do we want to build? And Action!
Each theme is given its own place in a temporary brick landscape. This landscape is a design by Studio Raito and refers to the function of this former transhipment hall.
