Final presentations Leren in de Metropo(o)lder

Two first year classes from Lyceum Kralingen have spent the last 3 months working on a design assignment from AIR’s education program Leren in de Metropo(o)lder. The students will present their final design on Wednesday, June 5.

Design an observatory for the garden of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen

AIR, the municipality of Rotterdam and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen have asked the students to think about how to create more biodiversity in the Rozentuin. The museum is now being renovated and the municipality and Museum Boijmans van Beuningen also want to renovate the Rozentuin. The aim is to create more plant and animal species that can be viewed by museum visitors from an observatory.

The past weeks, the students have been working on a garden design with room for their own chosen target species and they have designed an observatory to get a good view of the garden and the target species from the museum.

On Wednesday, June 5, the students will present their final design to each other, the teachers, AIR and the clients.

Please note: this program is a private event.
