Tour
Friday Night Art Walk with guest Sofie van Brunschot
BKOR tour
Join us on Friday, June 12, for a special Friday Night Art Walk from Delfshaven to Keilewerf/M4H.
Our guest is architect and founder of Gebouwen door Vrouwen, Sofie van Brunschot—a platform that makes the work of female architects more visible. Together with art guide Anne-Marie Ros, you will be taken on a journey through a crossover of architecture, art, and public space. You will walk along Sofie’s route past a number of projects that helped shape the face of Rotterdam, often without widespread name recognition. Along the way, she will discuss the work of Ineke Hulshof, Marja Haring, Helen Zhang, and Estelle Barriol, among others, and how the work of female architects remained underexposed for a long time.
Anne-Marie encourages us to look at the city more consciously through the lens of art. We will pause briefly at a concrete sculpture, graphic facade art, early post-war reconstruction art, and the dynamic neon work The rigHT tO RighT/WronG. The tour ends at the Test Site Materialenwerf in M4H, where materials, reuse, and circular thinking become part of a broader conversation about visibility, public space, and who gets a place in the city.
After the raffle of a BKOR art publication among the participants, the tour will be pleasantly concluded with a chat and a drink (at your own expense).

There are a limited number of spots available for the tour. You can register with (first and last name), mentioning FNAW, via tours@artindexrotterdam.nl
