Low stimulus hour at the Henket pavilion

On Tuesday, June 11 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM we will hold a low-stimulus hour in the Henket pavilion. Conditions in the pavilion will then be kept as calm as possible. Think of dim lights, little noise and few visitors.

About the exhibition

The exhibition in the Henket pavilion is part of the route through the festival heart and focuses on the history of the Boijmans Van Beuningen museum building.

On display are models and archive images of the classic Van der Steur design, but also the equally important additions by Bodon, Henket and Robbrecht en Daem. The museum, one of the first buildings in the former Land of Hoboken, has grown along with the development of the city. The original monumental building by architect Ad van der Steur, built in seven years between 1928 and 1935, has been extended several times. A new director often means new plans. Each building section tells a story about the time in which it was realized, its architecture and what the ideas were for exhibiting art.
