Get to know multiple design offices in the Keilepand in one combined tour: De Urbanisten, GROUP A, KeileCollectief, CITYFÖRSTER, HP architecten and Atelier van Berlo.

For half an hour each, these offices introduce you to their work during the Open Office Day, following each other up in a shared programme from 13:00 to 16:00. Reserve your free spot via this link. Please note: this tour will be in Dutch.

Programma

The tour kicks off with a short lecture by Manou Huijbregts on the theory of the plastic number and how HP architecten applies it in their work. You then visit the Rotterdam Architecture Month main exhibition ‘The power of community’. Co-exhibitor KeileCollectief gives an exclusive explanation of how cooperative organisational models, such as the area cooperative and zoöp in the Keilekwartier, offer new perspectives on circular area development. Within the exhibition, architect Marleen Delfos (Atelier van Berlo) presents ‘Het Tuinhuis’: a timber, future-proof residential building with twenty social housing apartments, designed together with residents with a focus on collectivity and quality of living.

De Urbanisten then take you to the tidal park Keilehaven and the Sponstuin, within walking distance from the Keilepand. These examples show how ecology, water and the city come together within the development of M4H. We walk past the Ferro Offices, where GROUP A talks about the design in relation to the area development of M4H. We close the afternoon at the CITYFÖRSTER office, where three projects demonstrate how collectivity adds value to their designs.
