On Friday, June 21, 2024, you can view the results of the twelve design studios of semester 2, 2023/2024 at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture. Students from each studio collectively demonstrate their approach to the topics they researched.

Every six months, the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture concludes a semester with an exhibition of the collective outcomes of the design assignments. Students from the Master’s programs in Urban Planning and Architecture worked for six months on practical issues with a view of the world of tomorrow, under guidance of partners from the work field.

Studio Leve de Imperfection investigates what locally grown biobased architecture can look like.
Studio Fragments of the Sublime Everyday explores living qualities in housing. Studio Spaces for Conversations analyzes a series of historic salons as a starting point for a contemporary design for a place for dialogue and meeting.
Studio Tutti Frutti investigates the auction typology based on the Rotterdam Citrus Auction to arrive at unexpected insights with a surrealist approach. Studio Het Cultuurhuis van Morgen analyzed the library of the future, from the street to the public interior. Studio Hef in Eigen Handen involves young people in urban development in Feyenoord and helps them to have a positive influence on their living environment. Studio Scènes in Stadspark West provides insight into the values ​​and experience of an area and responds to climate and biodiversity challenges. Studio Water Craft investigates innovative solutions for urban water management in Rotterdam.
