The official launch of the four day festival. With performances, reflections, and an opening contribution by Mayor Carola Schouten. Experience everything the festival has to offer in just 90 minutes. And end the evening with a drink and a bite in the Holy Hangout!

These Rotterdam-based makers will take the stage:

– Gevleugelde (Winged) poet Daryl Grootfaam with organist Matthijs van der Wilt. Hear the poem Daryl wrote especially for Heilige Huisjes Rotterdam 2025, accompanied by live organ.

– Jazz pianist Aseo Friesacher and flautist Fuefuki Kana present a unique blend of Japanese folk music and modern jazz.
Catch them on Saturday 14 June at 11:00 in the Laurenskerk.

– Musician and lyricist Laurens Radstake & photographer Hutch Lourens. This duo will reflect on the creative process behind their exhibition Behind Open Doors, on view in the Paradijskerk.

– Cora Schmeiser performs a musical meditation on Mary, where sounds from different worlds and centuries come together.

– The Space Choir is a breath of fresh air in the Dutch choir scene. Expect a sneak preview during the opening.
