Rotterdam, Radical Change

The Opening Lecture will be a thought experiment about the future of the city. Designer Elma van Boxel takes you through her view of Rotterdam, as it has developed over the past 20 years. A story about the city as a living ecosystem, for which spatial politics should create the right conditions. The present and future are visualized through the history of the city using inspiring examples and experiments. ‘Rotterdam, radically change the course’ advocates a resilient city that takes the current multiple crisis as a starting point. A city with new cultural capital in which all Rotterdam residents belong and which withstands the changing climate.
