You’re welcomed to the official opening of “Holy Houses Rotterdam 2023” at Debate Platform Arminius!

Rotterdam is home to more than 150 places of worship. What function do these buildings serve for their surroundings? And what does the future hold for them? Spiritual leaders, officials, and specialists will engage in a conversation during a city debate at Debate Platform Arminius.

Program

• A discussion on the multiple use of church buildings with City Pastor Harold Schorren from Laurenskerk and Village Minister Tjaard Barnard from Arminiuskerk.
• Journalist Teun van den Ende and public administration expert and Chairman of the Foundation for Multicolored Religions Rotterdam, Marianne Vorthoren.
• Architect Nima Morkoç and Director of Urban Development Hermineke van Bockxmeer.
• An official opening moment with alderman Faouzi Achbar.
• Musical and artistic decorations and various previews of the festival itself!
