R’dam Day: Lecture Jaap Smit

Four Sundays in June, the festival heart of the Rotterdam Architecture Month is dedicated to the Rotterdam Days. On these afternoons there are all kinds of activities in the Museumpark for young and old. Listen to the lecture by Jaap Smit (Trompenburg Tuinen & Arboretum) at the Pergola in the Rose Garden on Sunday, June 2.

Trees with a future yield even more

Trees yield a lot. They moderate heat, improve biodiversity, capture particulate matter, and much more. Some trees are more effective than others. Thanks to research, more and more knowledge is being created about specific tree species. Trompenburg is involved in many studies and research into the yields of trees is also carried out in the gardens. In this way, the botanical garden uses its 200-year-old heritage and Trompenburg supports the smart, climate-adaptive design of the built environment.

On Sunday, June 2, curator Jaap Smit will give a short lecture about trees of the future in the Rozentuin of the Museumpark. Registration is not necessary.

See here the other activities in the Festivalheart on Sunday June 2.
