Re(dis)covering Ukraine: Workshop Lessons for Ukrainian Cities

The pop-up exhibition Re(dis)covering Ukraine showcases 5 projects by Ukrainian professionals who are currently based in the Netherlands.
During this workshop we’ll get into one of the projects, Lessons for Ukrainian Cities, in which Oleksandra Naryzhna will facilitate a conversation with Dutch professionals on a sustainable reconstruction of Ukrainian Cities.
Lessons for Ukrainian Cities
Oleksandra Naryzhna hosts on 23 June a workshop about her project ‘Lessons for Ukrainian Cities’ in which she wants to open a discussion to find ways to exchange experience on pilot projects of urban strategies for Ukraine. We present Okhtyrka, a partially destroyed city in eastern Ukraine, with which the NGO Urban Reform is currently working in Ukraine.
On workshop we will discuss topics:
- What can we learn in the Netherlands to rebuild cities in Ukraine?
- Which methods and approach is relevant to make urban strategy today?
- How can NL and UA collaborate to work with Ukrainian cities?
Re(dis)covering Ukraine
The pop-up exhibition is hosted by Flokk (Blaak 28) from June 8-30 and is part of Rotterdam Architecture Month. From temporary housing solutions for displaced people to the transformation of libraries and former Soviet Houses of Culture, we invite you to come see and discuss the projects with their makers in June.
