Visit the floating festival heart in the Maashaven during the Rotterdam Architecture Month ’23.

Waterfront walk

During your visit to the festival hub, you will take a walk with a viewpoint over Maashaven and the city. You will visit three containers, each with a place for urban sports, a green park, and an event space. There is also an outdoor exhibition. In a few years, the Nelson Mandela Park will be here, so experience what it feels like now! Actually, the festival heart is a kind of testing location; experience what it’s like to walk, exercise, and listen to music here.

Exhibition

In container 3, there is an outdoor exhibition that focuses on designing for water-related challenges. Public space on the water, rising water levels, too much or too little water, clean water, Rotterdam as a water city: here you will not only see examples of how water can be programmed as public space, but also discover innovative solutions that are already being applied in the city, or with which solutions you can make the city more resilient to the effects of climate change.
