The Housing Relay #1
A century of housing ideals through the eyes of young architects

Young architects delve into a hundred years of housing construction and seek lessons for today. In the historic Oudblok of BoTu, Lennart Arpots and Max van der Westerlaken reflect on the work of J.J.P. Oud and Wim ten Bosch. An inspiring journey through time that shows how past and future come together in today’s city.
What can we learn from city architect J.J.P. Oud’s workers’ housing in Tussendijken? And from architect Wim ten Bosch’s new middle-class housing of the Interwar period?
In the historical setting of the Oudblok in BoTu, Lennart Arpots (1993) and Max van der Westerlaken (1994) explore the history of housing. Travel through time in search of lessons for our own contemporary housing challenges.
Evening will be held in Dutch.
