Tour Tidal park Keilehaven en Sponge Garden
De Urbanisten warmly invites you to join a guided tour of the Sponge Garden and the Tidal Park Keilehaven, followed by a visit to the exhibition “How Do We Want to Build M4H 2030”.
This exhibition highlights future-oriented themes such as architecture, landscape, materials, urban planning, and the M4H area itself. Over the coming years, the M4H area in Rotterdam-West will transform from an old port and industrial zone into a vibrant, sustainable living and working district, with circularity and innovation at its core. The exhibition showcases inspiring examples of new materials and the possible future design of M4H in 2030 and 2100.
During the tour, you will explore the Sponge Garden and the Keilehaven Tidal Park, both situated in the M4H area. The water- and nature-sensitive park and garden contribute to the transformation by emphasizing biodiversity and climate adaptation. The harbor basin in Keilehaven is under construction and being developed into a tidal park, while the Sponge Garden tests how the city can function as a sponge to anticipate the effects of climate change and prevent water-related issues
