Urban safari of Feijenoord Island with KCAP

Discover the layers of Feijenoord Island during Rotterdam Architecture Month. Exploring bridges, industry, and the circular city of tomorrow.

KCAP and Recht Door Zuid invite you on an Urban Safari through the Island of Feijenoord, a district where history, port identity, and future urban development come together.

Along the way, you’ll explore how this relatively unknown part of Rotterdam South is transforming, and the role that circularity and community building play in the city’s development. Spot the “Big Five” of characteristic locations and routes around the Piekstraat area, ranging from iconic port structures and bridges to manufacturing industries, hidden quays, and new urban developments.

After the tour, you will return to the KCAP office for a short lecture about De Piek, followed by an informal gathering with pizza from Pi! Skateria.
