Dialogue
Water Night with Shrishtee Bajpai
Nieuwe Instituut and IABR invite researcher and environmental activist Shrishtee Bajpai to talk about global water-related issues. The urban, architectural, social, ecological and geological aspects of designing with water will be addressed, together with invited guests and the audience.
Water issues such as drought, flooding, lack of drinking water, declining biodiversity, and social inequality, pose significant global challenges. To address these issues, Shrishtee Bajpai will explore systemic alternatives for social justice and the rights of nature. Alongside conversations with stakeholders from the Netherlands and around the world, the evening explores possible ways to restore our relationship with nature and foster healthy, inclusive and resilient cities and societies. Bajpai will also touch upon her involvement in the Rights of Rivers movement.
Water Night with Shrishtee Bajpai is organized in collaboration with IABR as the closing event of the Rotterdam Architecture Month. The evening fits well with this years theme of the RA Month: Liquid City.
