This year, the festival heart can be found in the Keilekwartier M4H. The festival heart consists of the Test Site Materiaalwerf and an exhibition & auditorium in the Keilepand. Prior to your visit, we are sharing some practical information here. Admission to the festival heart is free, unless stated otherwise.

Walking & biking
The Keilepand and the Test Site Material Depot are located approximately a 15-minute bike ride from Rotterdam Centraal Station. Don’t have a bike? You can rent one with an OV-fiets subscription, among other options. There are also several bike rental companies near the Central Station, such as ZwaanBikes. Please park your bicycle in the designated areas in the Keilekwartier.
From Rotterdam Central Station, it is about a 45-minute walk to the festival heart.
Auto
Paid parking applies in the vicinity of the festival heart from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 23:00 and on Sunday from 12:00 to 23:00 at €2.16 per hour (zone 580) and €3.12 per hour (zones 540 and 560). Look here the times and prices of surrounding zones.
Watertaxi
Take the water taxi to stop 81 Keilehaven (temporary location: Lekhaven). From there, it is approximately a 5-minute walk to the Keilepand or Test Site Materialenwerf. Look on watertaxirotterdam.nl for more information.
Tram
Tram line 8 towards Spangen or tram line 7 towards Marconiplein depart from Rotterdam Central Station and stop at the nearest stop, Marconiplein. From there, it is approximately an 8–10 minute walk.
Bus
Bus 38 towards Schiemond departs from Rotterdam Central Station and stops at the nearest stop, Marconiplein. From there, it is approximately an 8–10 minute walk to the Keilepand.
Metro
Metro lines A, B, and C stop at Marconiplein; this is the nearest metro station. From these stops, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the festival heart .
Are you coming by metro from Rotterdam Central Station? Then, via lines D and E (towards Slinge), you can transfer at Beurs metro station to line A, B, or C towards Schiedam Centrum.
Accessibility
- The Test Site Material Depot is largely easy to walk through. It features different types of surfaces, ranging from steel road plates to tiles that may be uneven in places.
- We recommend that people with limited mobility bring a companion who is more mobile.
- The Keilepand is easily accessible for visitors with a physical disability. An adapted restroom is available on the ground floor, and the building is wheelchair- and walker-friendly.
- The exhibition in the Keilepand can be visited in a low-stimulation setting upon request. Please send an email to communicatie@airrotterdam.eu. Because the Material Depot is located in a public space, we are unable to create a low-stimulation area there.
By entering the festival heart, you agree to the house rules:
- Entry to the festival heart is at your own risk.
- Always follow the instructions of the organization.
- Children under the age of 12 are very welcome at the Test Site Material Depot, but only under the supervision of an adult.
- Climbing on the elements at the Test Site Material Depot is not permitted.
- We recommend entering the festival heart wearing flat shoes. No high heels.
- Smoking, electronic cigarettes, and vapes are not permitted during your visit.
- Consuming alcohol brought from home and the use of drugs are not permitted before or during your visit.
- Pets are allowed, provided they do not disturb public order.
- Please dispose of waste in the designated bins.
- Toilets are available in the Keilepand, Keilestraat 9F, entrance on the Voedseltuin side.
