De Nieuwe Boompjes
This lecture will be held in Dutch.
The former branch of De Nederlandse Bank, nowadays named De Nieuwe Boompjes, has become a national monument. Completed in 1955, the construction of architect Zwiers design took place in great secrecy behind tall fences.
At the Lecture on Location publicist and architect Paul Groenendijk tells everything about the history of the building, including the artwork of Louis van Roode and Willem Verbon. The current resident of the building the Association of Dutch Insurances Trade (VNAB) will reveil more of its long history in Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
