Post-war reconstruction & the housing crisis
What lessons can be learned from young heritage?
This event takes place in Dutch, visit the Dutch version of this page for more information.
Before 2030 minister De Jonge has planned to build 900.000 dwellings in the Netherlands. It reminds us at the post-war years between 1945 and 1960 in which 1.5 million dwellings have been built. What lessons can be learned from this period during the current housing crisis?
In a public talk we will discuss the current crisis in reflection of the post-war reconstruction and the following up post65 approach with builders, developers, investors and designers/architects. In the main exhibition of the RA Month, (T)Huis, eight lessons have been written down as a starting point for discussion and reflection.
