Wanted: Become a volunteer at the festival heart!
Do you want to be a part of the largest architecture festival in the Netherlands and help shape the future of the city? Register and join our team during the Rotterdam Architecture Month from June 1st to 30th!
This summer we will be settling in Schiehaven Noord. Together with architects, residents and makers from the area, we will be organising an inspiring programme on the quayside along the Schiehavenhallen. To make it all happen, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers.
Theme: Summer in Schiemond
This year, the festival heart is located in Schiemond, a district in the west of Rotterdam where history and innovation meet. Here, we will be exploring the theme ‘Samen Stadmaken’ (Making the City Together): how can we build a sustainable and inclusive city together?
Schiehaven Noord is currently being developed into a ‘Paris Proof’ residential neighbourhood: a future-proof area with a strong focus on sustainability and liveability. During Rotterdam Architecture Month, we’ll explore what this looks like in practice. Together with residents and designers, we’ll transform the quay around the Schiehavenhallen with spatial interventions, conversations and exhibitions.
The knowledge and ideas that emerge here will demonstrate how culture is an invisible force shaping the city. Through collaboration and experimentation, we can discover new solutions for sustainable urban development.
What do we ask?
We could really use your help from June 1st to 30th.
As a volunteer, you will:
- support the programme in and around the festival heart;
- assist at the information desk;
- scan tickets;
- welcome speakers and guide the audience.
The volunteer coordinator will do their best to take your availability and preferences into account.
