The opening of Rotterdam Architecture Month captured

On Sunday 1 June, the Rotterdam Architecture Month officially started! At 13:00 the festival heart in Schiemond was officially opened by AIR director Barbara Luns, founder of Placebased and co-organizer of the RA Month Lenard Vunderink and alderman Chantal Zeegers.
We started the tour through the exhibition ‘Sustainable space making’ and walked further via the quay garden of Gore Tengels, the Spreeuwenpaviljoen of Studio Method, the Maaskijker of Observatorium and studio GRIDT, the art installation ‘Where the river is’ of Maud van den Beuken and ended at the Kadepodium of Architectuur MAKEN where Wessel Klootwijk gave a beautiful poetry recital. After that it was time for music and delicious snacks and drinks on the quay. View the photos of the opening here!
