Tips: 5x on tour this weekend
The Rotterdam Architecture Month is about the future of the city, but it also offers plenty of opportunities to discover the city as it is right now. This weekend, five tours are taking place across Rotterdam, each telling their own story about the city’s urban fabric.
From the Keilekwartier to Rotterdam-Zuid: every tour takes you into a different part of Rotterdam. On foot or by bike, the organisers show you places that buzz with stories from the past, or with initiatives pointing toward the future.
Please note: these programmes are in Dutch.
1. ‘De Start’ x Timbertrix: from waste wood to circular construction
At the circular site ‘De Start’ on the Keilezijweg, waste wood is being turned into usable materials. During this tour you discover which processes are being tested and watch the construction of a modular, circular meeting space by Timbertrix, designed by Superuse Studios.
