Hofbogen
The following week, Renske will go up the roofs during the opening of the Rotterdam Rooftop Days on the Hofbogen: “I can’t wait for the Hofbogen to really become accessible to the public and become part of a new route from the Pompenburg, past ZOHO, to the Agniesenbuurt and beyond. . ”
Open studio with Joep van Lieshout
Then she starts looking for depth. First, Renske thinks to herself during an open studio: how can the Atelier van Lieshout (AVL) site develop? “Very interesting to investigate the possibilities together with Joep van Lieshout.” That evening, as Head of Architecture of the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture, she gets together with the local Keile collective.
Can not miss: Dirk Sijmons and Diederik Samson
“What I really don’t want to miss is the fourth – and last – meeting of the Maaskant dialogues.” During this evening on June 12 in POST Podium, Dirk Sijmons will talk to Diederik Samson about the spatial aspects as a result of the energy transition. Good architecture requires a good conversation and Renske is involved!
The Day of Architecture concludes
There is no better way to end #RAM19 with the Day of Architecture. One of the four areas is the Lloydkwartier. “De Kroon, a collective business building where my office ROFFAA is located also, does not officially belong in this quarter, but it’s so closeby. Very nice that the Culture Campsite on the outside area of the Kroon is part of this weekend!”
The Floating Bricks House
During the Culture Campsite you can sleep in a converted feed silo or a double calf igloo on high legs. But also in ‘The Floating Bricks House’, designed by ROFFAA. Renske will tell the story behind this design on 15 June. “I take attendees to our office, where the making of ‘The Floating Bricks House’ can also be seen!”
